Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is your refund policy?

All esthetician services are non-refundable, including but not limited to cancellations, no-shows, late arrivals, personal emergencies, scheduling conflicts, or weather-related issues.

By booking an appointment, you are reserving time, products, and professional services that cannot be recovered once scheduled.

However, under certain circumstances, alternative arrangements may be considered at the sole discretion of the esthetician. These arrangements may include rescheduling or a service credit and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Approval is not guaranteed and does not constitute a refund.

Failure to attend an appointment without proper communication will result in a forfeiture of all payments made.

By booking, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

  • Are receiving facials mandatory?

Facials aren't mandatory but a great at-home skincare routine is. Additionally, they are great stress relievers. Moreover, receiving a facial can educate you on how to maintain great skincare while improving the healthiness of your skin.

  • What is a facial extraction?

A facial extraction is a skincare procedure where a professional, typically an esthetician, manually removes impurities such as blackheads, whiteheads, and clogged pores from the skin. It is usually part of a facial treatment and is done after the skin has been cleansed and steamed to soften the pores. The process helps clear congested skin, reduces the risk of breakouts, and promotes a smoother, healthier complexion.

  • Do facial extractions hurt?

Facial extractions can cause some discomfort, but the level of pain varies depending on skin sensitivity, the extent of congestion, and the technique used. Some people may experience mild pressure or a pinching sensation, especially in more sensitive areas or if the pores are deeply clogged. However, estheticians usually prepare the skin with steam or warm compresses to minimize discomfort by softening the pores. Any post-extraction redness or irritation typically subsides within a day or two.

  • If I've never received a facial, can I purchase any treatment?

If you’ve never had a facial before, it’s recommended to start with a basic or introductory treatment, such as a deep cleansing or hydrating facial. These treatments are designed to address general skin concerns and allow the esthetician to assess your skin type and condition. Once your skin has been evaluated, more specialized treatments—such as those for acne, anti-aging, or brightening—can be suggested. It's best to consult with a professional to determine the most suitable facial based on your skin's needs.

  • How can I learn of the treatments you offer?

Head back to the BEAUTY page. Choose the category you are most interested in. Click the PURPLE button. You will enter my services site. On this site, you can click any service to read its description and book the service.

If you would like to schedule a FREE consultation first, in the footer of this page, send me an email. I'll be in contact within 24 to 48 hours. Also keep in mind ... before any treatment, we will have a face-to-face consultation. If the treatment booked isn't a good fit, I will suggest another.

  • Why are your beauty services mixed in with business consulting?

It was more efficient for me to create a portfolio-type website instead of a separate one for just beauty services. However, there is a separate one for my brand strategy work. To learn more about that work, click on the link CONSULTING.
